Funded Places

Funded places are currently available for all eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds and from September 2024 children over 9 months. All Places are offered the term after their birthday or turning 9 months old.

Funding for 9 months to 3 years olds is up to 15 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks a year) or 11 hours per week, all year round.

Funding for 3 and 4 years olds can be up to 30 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks a year) or 22 hours per week, all year round.

As funding is only paid term time, 14 weeks in the Autumn Term, 12 weeks in the Spring term and 12 weeks in the Summer Term, we spread the hours over 3 X 4 month periods:

Autumn Term - September – December

Spring Term - January – April

Summer Term - May – August

As a childcare provider we are able to offer the funded hours at nursery if you meet one of the following criteria - 

• Working parents who individually earn more than £8,670 but less than £100,000 adjusted net income per year are eligible.
• For couples, the rules apply to both parents, so both must earn at least £8,670 and neither can earn more than £100,000.

If parents of 2 year olds are not working they may be eligible for funding under the ‘2 Year Offer’ for most disadvantaged families.

In order for us to continue to offer our families high quality, flexible childcare there will have to be a charge for meals, snacks and consumables (additional services).  

These are charged as follows –

Up to 3 year olds – £8.40 per session (5 hours)

3 & 4 year olds - £14.00 per session (5 hours)

These are the monthly costs using funded hours – these are the prices paid by yourself and all the funding has been deducted.

15 hours claim - £72.80                                                         

1 full day & 1 x am session - £259.74                                     

2 days per week - £398.93                                                     

2 full days & 1 x am session - £585.87                             

3 days per week - £725.05                                               

4 days per week - £1051.18                                               

Full Time - £1286.13

FUNDED SESSIONS for 3/4 year olds.

15 hours only claim - £121.33                                             

2 days per week - £242.67                                               

2 full days & 1 x am session - £346.15                               

3 days per week - £486.85                                               

4 days per week - £792.13                                               

Full Time - £1031.12
